Passengers pay 25% of the compensation we recover, only if we recover it. Nothing up front, nothing if the claim fails. You can tell them the exact split before they decide.
Yes. Buddy commissions are referral income. We send a year-end statement of everything you were paid. We do not withhold tax. You are responsible for declaring it to your local tax authority.
There is not one, and the absence of a catch is what makes people suspicious. Here is how the money works: the airline pays the full compensation. The passenger keeps the bulk of it. You keep 25%. We keep the remainder, which covers legal and operating costs. Everyone knows the split before anyone signs anything.
Same legal framework, same outcome. The difference is that we come to the passenger instead of waiting for the passenger to come to us. Most passengers never Google "flight delay compensation." They need someone to tell them they are owed something in the first place. That is your job.
You move on. Most Buddies have more "no" conversations than "yes" ones at first and that is fine. You are not selling, you are offering free information. Nobody loses.
You do not get paid, but you do not lose anything either. No win, no fee applies to you the same way it applies to the passenger.
Plan for 8 to 14 weeks from your first intake. The claim takes 6–12 weeks to settle. We pay you within a few days of the airline paying us.
Yes, if you misrepresent passenger rights, impersonate DelayBuddy, or solicit passengers in ways that break airport or employer rules. We send written warnings before termination unless the breach is severe.
